Epsedanse on stage
2010 : creation of the N.I.D.
For Anne-Marie Porras, professional practice in the
part of the training of a young artist who is destined for the dance
career
is crucial. In this sense, under her direction, a ballet called NID (New
Performers Dancers) was created in 2010.
This unit currently consists of ten young artists selected for their
talent and benefit from free
education of Epsedanse. Designed as a gateway, it allows young dancers
from
all backgrounds to work with various dance styles and choreographers to
perform in shows several times each season around the times of parts
and original creations.
The various collaborations with dance professionals and intercultural
exchange set up with European and African countries aimed at enhancing
student learning through various stage experiences.
The artistic work of the NID
revolves around works
dance in the repertoire of creations and Epsedanse

under the artistic direction of choreographers.
N.I.D FOLDER 2011-2012
CREATION IN N.I.D. 2010
Initial work was conducted around a large cross-cultural project and a
transfer of assets.
The choreography. At dusk
was born from the artistic encounter between Anne-Marie Porras and
Salia Sanou, Burkina choreographer and director of the CDC The
Termitière in Ouagadougou.
Together, they designed an artistic and educational gathering
of
young dancers from two teaching sites around a common creative work.
Focused on the transmission of artistic heritage, this project includes
the phases home and exchange among students.
Entre chien et loup
brings together six dancers of the French N.I.D.
African dancers and six of C.D.C. The Termitière as well as musicians
from Burkina Faso.
This street show programmed in the 2010 Montpellier Dance Festival, was
presented 11 times in several cities

In France, this work was presented as part of the university of
Montpellier Festival on stage at the Zenith, in the Chapel and St.
Georges Gély of Orcs.
And abroad in Vicenza (Italy) and Lausanne (Switzerland).
the play Andwas performed for the
Association Brin life
and its humanitarian project mirror the Zenith of Montpellier in June
2010.
The association focuses on cultural exchanges between Montpellier and
Ouidah in Benin which are designed to equip new motherhood.
Revenue collected through the sale of the Notes are fully repaid to the
association Brin life in Benin.

The choreography has been presented several times in the department:
Theatre Gerard Philipe and Gely Chapel in Montpellier, Saint George of
Orcs, and Gignac Olargues. But also in Lausanne (
Switzerland).

Convinced by the successful experience in 2010 with Entre
chien
et loup, Anne-Marie Porras and Salia Sanou is
decided to work on a new project.
The choreographer is therefore in Montpellier for a new
transmission of culture and heritage through a creative
with nine students N.I.D.
The artistic intention of the piece focuses on a universal and
timeless: the rights of
Rights.
The question remains, What is the artist's role in the struggle for
human rights and freedom of artistic expression?
Through their own partitions tinged culture
specific artistic, the two choreographers will help
individually
to feed a common expression. Together they will guide and lead
the nine dancers of N.I.D. to a creation carrier
a beautiful energy.
This piece will be presented again at the Zenith
Montpellier
and several cities in the region as part of actions
by the Association
