Jason Mabana est danseur, chorégraphe et enseignant en danse contemporaine, de nationalité belge. Formé notamment à la Rambert School, il développe depuis plusieurs années une pratique artistique mêlant création chorégraphique, interprétation et transmission.

Il collabore avec de nombreuses compagnies, écoles et artistes internationaux, notamment Akram Khan Company, Candoco Dance Company, Studio Wayne McGregor et Shobana Jeyasingh. Ses créations ont été présentées à l’international, au Royaume-Uni, en Europe, au Canada, au Mexique, aux États-Unis et en Australie.

En parallèle de son activité artistique, Jason enseigne la danse contemporaine à la Rambert School depuis 2020 et a également enseigné à la Royal Ballet School et à la London Contemporary Dance School. Il intervient régulièrement comme professeur invité dans de prestigieuses institutions internationales telles que The Juilliard School, Alvin Ailey, Taipei National University of the Arts ou encore Sydney Dance Company.

Son approche pédagogique s’appuie sur un travail autour de l’imaginaire, de la tension et du relâchement, ainsi que sur une attention particulière portée aux bras, aux mains et à la tête dans le mouvement.




Jason Mabana is a Belgian dancer, choreographer, and contemporary dance teacher. Trained at the Rambert School, he has developed an artistic practice combining choreography, performance, and teaching.

He has collaborated with numerous international companies, schools, and artists, including Akram Khan Company, Candoco Dance Company, Studio Wayne McGregor, and Shobana Jeyasingh. His work has been presented internationally, across the UK, Europe, Canada, Mexico, the United States, and Australia.

Alongside his artistic career, Jason has been teaching contemporary dance at Rambert School since 2020, and has also taught at The Royal Ballet School and London Contemporary Dance School. He regularly works as a guest teacher at prestigious international institutions such as The Juilliard School, Alvin Ailey, Taipei National University of the Arts, and Sydney Dance Company.

His teaching approach explores imagery, tension and release, with particular attention to the arms, hands, and head in movement.
